As I was scrolling through manga that are soon to be released on our site, I came across a cover of a beautiful heroine who appears to be taking off her panties…? For the most part, I’m a bit of an oddball, I don’t like straight-up porn but I heavily enjoy titles that like to tease you with that 17+ age rating and explicit content warning. Some may consider this borderline hentai (similar to Pleasure and Corruption), while others consider this the extreme of the ecchi genre, but I think we can all agree that the girl on the cover is a goddess. Yes, the cover alone was enough for me to want to review this peculiar manga.
You’re introduced to the main character, Koushi Shirota, who’s at the bottom of the high school hierarchy and is your typical nerdy guy. He can only admire the most popular girl, Takane Takemine, from afar until he sees something he shouldn’t have. When he presses Takane on the matter, she comes clean and reveals that by stripping her underwear she can undo her past actions. But there’s only one problem; her underwear vanishes after she does that, and she plans on making Koushi her personal walking closet. With no choice but to agree, we see the main character help Takane with her disappearing undergarments problem and with her goal of striving to be perfect.
So Takane will kind of rub you the wrong way. She comes off as really, really full of herself and very spoiled. She forces the main character to be her walk-in closet slave by dirty means and says he should be “honored” to do this task. I believe her goal of being 100% perfect is a little idiotic and undoing every single mistake no matter how small is just ridiculous.
With that being said, we don’t really know her backstory or inner turmoil enough to judge her for her humongous ego and goal to be perfect. I like her just the way she is. In fact, it makes the relationship between our two characters that much more special. Whenever Takane does break character, it’s always because of Koushi (usually when he goes out of his way to protect her secret at all costs like the true gentleman he is).
I love the scenarios the author came up with, there’s never a dull, perverted moment in the whole manga. I’m curious to see my coworkers' reviews are on this one. Overall I give Please Put Them On, Takamine San a high rating for the lewd material I got to witness, and a big yay for the uncensored stripping scene!
