If you're looking for a manga with a good balance of action, comedy, and wholesomeness, then Mission: Yozakura Family is for you!
The main character, Taiyo Asano, has tragically lost his whole family in a car accident, and the only person he has left is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura. Mutsumi's family is secretly made up of spies, and Taiyo is dragged into it due to the schemes of her older brother. The first volume explores the different family members as well as Taiyo's resolve to help protect Mutsumi.
Since the story is centered around a family, there are a lot of wholesome scenes, which I don't see in a lot of shonen manga. The pacing of the story is good, it doesn't build too quickly or too slowly. Each character is quirky and interesting in their own way, which makes you look forward to getting to know them more. The relationship between Taiyo and Mustumi is not too romantic or lustful. The author does a great job of not making a cliché love interest, but rather a relationship/bond where the two are a great support for one another. Also, everything set in a world of spies just makes everything a lot more fun and exciting!
I felt like the first volume had a great start to the series and will definitely leave you wanting to read more. If you enjoy other Shonen Jump series like My Hero Academia or Reborn!, then I think this series will be one worth checking out!
