Final Fantasy Lost Stranger Review

-Written by: Jocelyn

Final Fantasy Lost Stranger is a new adventure like none other. Shogo-san is a NEET and older brother to Yuko who works alongside him at Square Enix. Things quickly go downhill as they are both thrust into a new dimensional “video game” closely related to Final Fantasy. Shogo instantly notices his surroundings as he’s all too familiar with Final Fantasy, but he wasn’t to expect what comes next. The images are detailed, crisp, and often busy, but not overwhelming. The smooth transitions between panels and overall pacing help to keep the manga flowing and will make you want to binge read the entire book.

Final Fantasy Lost Stranger has a good mix of genres a little slice of comedy but mostly drama and a splash of suspense. Come jump into a world of magic, dragons, and yes.. CHOCOBOS to help Shogo discover the mystical powers and secrets of this new game. If you’re into other series like Sword Art Online, Accel World, Grimgar or the Final Fantasy franchise I would highly recommend this book to you, as for me I’m excited to read the next volume!

Final Fantasy Lost Stranger Manga Volume 1

Scoring a job at Square Enix, Sasaki Shogo's dream of producing a Final Fantasy game finally seems within his grasp! But after he starts, he quickly discovers that the work has nothing to do with his favorite franchise at all... Disillusioned, his enthusiasm for FF begins waning despite his sister / co-worker Yuko's attempts to lift his spirits. Their conversation is cut short, though, when a runaway truck suddenly careens toward the two of them...!

When Shogo comes to, the first thing he sees is...a Moogle?! Wait, was that a Cure spell? And chocobos...?! Hurled into a Final Fantasy world unbound to any particular installment, how will an uber-fan like Shogo survive?!
