For those of you that have fallen down the “Vtuber” Rabbit Hole, boy, do I have a treat for you. Today I’ll be reviewing one of the most hilarious manga I’ve ever read and why you should pick it up right now., For those of you who don’t know, Vtubers or Virtual YouTubers, are 3D-like girls that stream various games or simply interact with the audience. So basically you get to witness what a real-life anime girl would be like all while being entertained.
As the title of this manga suggests, My Dad is the Queen of All Vtubers, follows the story of a young high school boy named Takashi who finds out that his dad is Kizuke Yai, his favorite Virtual YouTuber, who he used to have a big crush on until he found out the dirty truth. After his dad got fired from his office job, he decided to turn to a more unique career, streaming! All it takes is a voice-changer, personalized avatar, and tracking equipment to make a burly man into a kawaii star with millions of fans. This is the everyday life of a quirky family whose life changes because of Virtual Youtubers.
Although I’m not the biggest fan of virtual YouTubers or streamers, I still loved this manga. Making fun of an outrageous trend, made this story creative and downright enjoyable. I’ll have to knock points off for some of the super cringeworthy segments… particularly the naked Virtual YouTuber guy... But don’t let that sway you from checking this manga out!

My Dad's the Queen of All VTubers?! Manga Volume 1
VTubers, these online entertainers have seen a sudden surge in popularity, capturing the hearts of millions. But none of them have quite become as much of a household name as Kizuke Yai, the so-called ‘Queen of VTubers.’ Takashi, an average high-school student, is one of her biggest fans. He always tunes in to her broadcasts, and he might even have a little crush on her... Kizuke Yai is the real deal, an actual cute girl behind the screen, at least according to the rumors... But reality is often disappointing.
