Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie
Yusuke Urameshi is not exactly what you'd call an angel. In fact, some might call him down right devilish. But when he dies in an accident trying to save a child, he finds himself in the Spirit World, too good for hell, but not good enough for heaven.
Now Yusuke works as a half dead, half alive agent for Koenma, son of the ruler of the Spirit World. This position does have its disadvantages, especially after Koenma gets kidnapped, and Yusuke must find Koenma to trade the Golden Seal of King Enma for his life.

Ratings & Reviews
The movie isn't bad. It's very quick though. Only being about 25 minutes long you'll find the story seemed short but considering that, they did it very well. Also the 'episodes' are only a couple minutes long if that and aren't what I would call episodes.
I must admit that I did find it a little entertaining. I think the price is high for it though.
A Fun, But Short Experience

One thing to keep in mind with this purchase is that you are getting more or less an extended TV episode with many short-length extras. The movie was great and has some funny moments, but I wish it was a little longer.
The extras were mostly 2 minute shorts such as Yusuke's nightmares, interviews between the Dark Tournament battles, Dark Tournament summaries, and so forth. The first two I mentioned were fun, but the rest of the extras didn't hold my attention.
If you're like me and want to complete your Yu Yu Hakusho collection, then this is a good buy. Otherwise, you may want to hold off.
Filler-tastic, but kinda fun
These are the kinds of clips you would have expected as special features to the main series, except all compiled in this single separate release. Most of the clips run for less than ten minutes each and don't offer too much in the way of worthwhile material. Nonetheless, it's interesting sifting through all these new bits of animation and the fact that the English VAs were all brought back for dubbing is a nice bonus even if Justin Cook's Yusuke sounds a bit rusty.
fun addition to my growing YYH collection

This dvd was really fun to run through and I see myself watching it again every now and then to re-enjoy. Totally worth ~$20 to have all the opening and ending songs together (I forgot how great some of those ending songs are), the "movie" aka just another 25-min episode, some fun commentary clips, and those crazy nightmare OVA scenes. Only thing I really wish it had was the final episode commentary track; with the miscellaneous material on this dvd I felt that would have been an awesome addition. It's a nice little investment to add to your YYH collection.
Fun Collection of Extras
by Kammy -
I've been curious about this set for a while and when I saw it was on sale I bought it. I have the whole TV series and both movies: love the new dub of the short movie/summer special - seems funnier with the same voice actors from the series. Love the theme collection, too. It is short, but enjoyable. Nightmare Hakusho is hilarious! Highly recommend this one for completest, or anyone who just loves extras.
I gave this five stars, because there's actually an English dub for half the collection, which is not the norm.
lets go guys!

the movie part of this pack is only 25 to 30 minutes long. the rest of the 190 to 195 minute run time is covered by Eizou Hakusho and all the other special features. the Anti-Piracy clips are a little funny at least to me. the nightmare Hakusho is really funny. the opening and ending encyclopedia covers all the opening and endings from the series. the vintage trailers are like taking a walk down memory lane. this is a great way to complete me YYH collection.
