About You're Being Summoned Azazel DVD

This complete collection of You're Being Summoned, Azazel contains episodes 1-13 of season 1 and episodes 1-13 of season 2.

Have a stalker you just can't shake? Fear your spouse is being unfaithful? You might consider hiring Akutabe, a detective who summons demons to do his dirty work. While his methods might seem unorthodox, he always gets results.

However, as powerful as Akutabe is, manipulating demons is a delicate art. His new part-time employee Sakuma, a young college girl, doesn't get to spend too much time exploring the finer points of controlling demons before Akutabe forces her into a demonic contract with Azazel. Azazel is lazy, lustful, and depraved... everything you'd expect a demon to be. Sakuma needs to keep Azazel on a tight leash, but to do that, she may have to dabble in a little depravity herself.

A criminally underrated show!

I'm not too sure why this sublimely silly, sassy, short and sweet series isn't on everyone's radar. There's great animation done by Production I.G. with humor that ranges from the crass and low brow to some quite hilarious gags and jokes. Definitely not a show for those that are easily offended, this would definitely be similar to a late night show on Adult Swim, not Cartoon Network. An occult detective agency that uses cute yet crazy and demented demons to do their dirty work. Akutabe, the owner, and his young assistant Rinko keep the dog-like demon Azazel and his companions in check while they try to rebel against them. Short, sweet episodes (about 13 minutes each) and two complete seasons! The show is subtitled, and the only downside is that we do not get the OAV episodes, but that's a minor complaint and I'm quite glad the show was released stateside! Get a Zaku leg ready for your sacrifice and enjoy the show!

Still, if you can read quick enough, you'll come to love this crazy slice of demon life series. There are plenty of laughs (and quite a few tears, mostly from Azazel himself because he can't stay out of trouble!) If you love comedy and horror, this will satisfy, but again NO DUB! All in Japanese, but worth the reading effort.
