A Great Retelling of the Game
by Ashleigh -
Volume One covers the first half of Chapter One Part A of the free to play game Your Turn to Die aka Kimi ga Shine. The story is actually a very faithful recreation. There are a few things that are skipped or sped up but on the other hand we also get a few new scenes or ideas that aren't in the game that give us new thoughts on the characters. Please note that this volume does give a big spoiler for the end of all of the events of Chapter One (Which of course isn't finished in this volume) so be warned! Also on the same note, those who have played the english translation will notice one name difference (Hoemi vs Sue Miley)
If you are unable to play the game for any reason, at the moment the manga is a wonderful alternative for it. For those who have played, it is the exact same thing so far but seeing the characters more animated compared to sprites is a nice bonus.

I highly recommend this manga, but if you haven't yet played the game yet then you should probably play that first (it's free) since the game is the source material for the manga. Either way I love the manga!
Can you survive the death games and votes!!

I love horror manga, and there are a lot of that type, so much manga. I must confess I bought this book without knowing it was a game. The characters are diverse, no one face different hair, but the designs feel a little forced, I would give this a 7.5/10. the artwork is clean and pleasing, but nothing exceptional, so again a very presentable 7.5/10, I am looking for stand alone poster quality illustrations to push the grade higher. I do think the story is overused, but the entertainment factor is there so an 8/10 for use of gore. Pacing was a little chaotic, and the faceless guess who characters detract from the flow, I do appreciate they try to keep the intrigue so 7/10. The book quality is good, the cover art is pretty with clean lines and the book has a good page count so 7.5/10. This has come at a presentable 75% satisfaction for me! Worth a look for Horror survivor type stories!
