A wholesome story

by -

This manga contains several stories and each were a good read. Two were fast past, but nonetheless satisfying. The artwork is pretty and character development on the main story is very well done. Overall, it’s definitely a story to own if you’re wanting to read something more relaxing and wholesome.

When the only 18+ scene in your allegedly 18+ yaoi is heterosexual, you know something's gone wrong.

Yes, it's true, if you're looking for boy on boy, there's nothing steamier than kissing. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but that's not the only reason for stars off, either.

Each of the stories -- two following one couple, two following another, and one following... frenemies, I guess? -- are sweet in their own way, with lovely art and a breezy pace. The problem is that none of them are terribly substantive, and one is left feeling like each of them ends just as they're starting. The second chapter in particular, the one with the frenemies (I can't plausibly call them a couple) and the aforementioned 18+ page-and-a-half, is completely superfluous and adds nothing. The couples in the other two stories are easy to root for and cute to see warm up to each other, but just when they finally do so, the stories end. It all feels very much like a prologue to something that never comes.

Overall, this is fine for a cart topper, but not worth a specific purchase. 5/10.
