Great Show

This series is kind of a legend-it's a combination of Alice in Wonderland with timetraveling mixed strong yuri undertones. Most people either love or hate after watching it. Me-I really like this show-was beginning to wonder if it would ever be released on bluray.

Early 2000s Yuri

Yamibo is a fantasy romp with beautiful character designs and a fair bit of fan service. I've been holding off on buying this series until the blu ray finally came out, and I'm very happy with the quality of the release. The cover artwork alone is gorgeous.

I feel like the much more famous Kannazuki no Miko probably owes something to this show, and it's certainly an interesting watch as an early example of a yuri anime that demonstrates in no uncertain terms the sexual nature of Hazuki's feelings for Hatsumi. It's also refreshing that Hazuki's feelings are treated seriously throughout, not played for laughs as tends to happen in a lot of the more fan service-y shows.

The ending isn't what I would wish, but is very much a product of its time.

I really hope that we start to see more older and out of print yuri anime series making their way over onto blu-ray.

This is a phrase you will be constantly uttering as you watch this series. I think that is one of its strong points. This series is a rollercoaster and never fully explains itself but that is part of its charm. Its opening is also amazing and I would always listen to it. If you like yuri and yearning it is such a fulfilling watch. Highly recommend it because for one it is never boring and fully got invested in the characters within the show.
