Time will pass as though in a dream, or a fairy tale
by Danny -
If you have already watched the movie, then you may be happy to know that this manga has the same story that you know and love.
The manga has a different art style than the movie, leaning more towards a cute take on the characters, but a style that nonetheless fits the story quite well. The few colored pages included throughout the book stand out beautifully in contrast to the rest of the manga, and make the art that much prettier to look at.
While some of the beautiful scenes from the movie may not quite transfer as well to the manga, rest assured that the emotional impact will still be there, so prepare for tears. Fortunately, the manga contains a couple of scenes not seen in the movie that you will definitely enjoy seeing.
In conclusion, at 550 pages and in a beautiful hardcover format, this book belongs in anyone's collection. Do not miss the opportunity to experience this story in a different format, as this version will still hold up to the masterpiece that is Wolf Children.

My FAVORITE!

Wolf Children has always and most likely forever be my most favorite anime movie i have watched! So i decided that i was going to buy the manga because of how much i love the movie. It was much bigger then i expected it to be and i had forgotten that it was a hardcover manga so that surprised me as well! The manga itself gave me the same feels as the movie and i'm happy that i got the manga because i thought that maybe there was stuff in the manga that wasn't in the movie, and i was right, though it is only little stuff, it made me happy to know/see that there was more to it then just that. :)
Wholesome slice of life

This is a classic masterpiece by Mamoru Hosoda, a must-read for any slice of life lover! The manga is a good reflection of the movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would easily recommend this to anyone :)
A beautiful story that's just as good as the movie
by Daniel
Summer Wars is my favorite Mamoru Hosada film, but Wolf Children is my second favorite. I got this book as a gift and it brought me back the warmth and comfort this movie gave me years ago. The artwork and story are so soft and heart warming that I had to take my time reading this to take it all in and appreciate every page. And by the end, it just gave me the satisfaction, closure, and sadness that comes with finishing a great story. I would recommend this book to anyone a fan of the movie or Hosada or just wants a quaint tale of 2 wolf children and their mother as they grow and learn more about life. It doesn’t really add anything new and is a pretty faithful adaptation of the movie, but it’s still a beautiful story that I’m glad to have in any form.
