About Wizard Barristers Blu-ray

Wizard Barristers collection contains episodes 1-12 of the anime directed by Yasuomi Umetsu.

When the laws of magic are broken, it's the duty of the Police Department's deadly Section 1 to enforce them. But, since even craven maven mages and nefarious necromancers have the right to a fair trial, the job of defending them belongs to the Benmashi, the Wizard Barristers!

It's a tricky profession, requiring both arcane ability and a judicious sense of jurisprudence, and at just seventeen, Cecil Sudo is the youngest Benmashi that Butterfly Law has ever employed. That means a lot of late nights burning the midnight brimstone, summoning up summaries, parsing phrases with paranormal paralegals and cutting deals with opposing counsels from hell.

And when a young Benmashi starts to discover that her own charm may be more magically-based than she realized, there'll be a hex-tra incentive to work wonders outside the courtroom as well! Every trial is a witch trial as the most enchantingly Adept Attorney ever becomes a Master of the Art of Defensive Spells in Wizard Barristers!

Good Anime but , I just couldn't stay with it !

by -

I liked the Main Character and most of the immediate supporting ones
and I’m sure many will just love this Anime which is why I gave it 3 stars but......

I just couldn’t stay with my suspension of disbelief from the start with the Justice System
that only those who were Wizards had to submit to and how it ( unjustly ) worked .

And it seemed like everyone was in on the Plot that was being setup against
the Main Character and it was just being dragged out for too long with out giving
the viewer enough information ( in my option ) on it to keep the viewer interested .

I stopped watching it at the end of Disc 1.
At sometime in the future if I haven't already sold it I might try to finish it .

Definitely worth having in your collection!

I absolutely loved this series. It is bright and colorful. The characters are interesting but honestly we do not learn enough about them. The biggest complaint I have is that the story ends on a cliffhanger and this is one of those series we will probably never see a sequel to. I will agree about what the previous person said - everyone seemed to be in on what has happened to Cecil, but when you can essentially summon mechs from the available metal in the area, you can deal with pretty much anyone! Also, Nana Genie, the perverted frog is awesome!

Beautiful but ordinary

The barrister Cecile series start in very good way, but in the passage of episode´s the decline of overall quality is noticible and in episode 11 is the most low point.
The pros
good caracters
Beautiful 3 first episode´s
The cons
the general plot is forced
Episode 11 has some cenes unfinished even in DVD/BD version
The end is some of the worst you can see...
