Continues to wow me

I've been enamored with this series since the very first chapter and this latest volume does not disappoint, continuing with the gorgeous artwork, engaging storyline, and lovable characters. As the series progresses the author continues to dive deeper into the worldbuilding and we are starting to uncover some darker/more serious aspects of this magical world, which to me at least is a very welcome development, and I can't wait to see what else comes of it. The one downside of this series is how slowly the volumes come out - I'll be on the edge of my seat for the next few months waiting to see where the story goes from here!
Always Worth the Wait

This was a slower and shorter volume but absolutely worth the wait. No one in the industry is as skilled as Shirahama in basic inking and panel design. All the little flourishes and expressive poses, the flowing clothing. The quality has been absolutely consistent across the first 8 volumes.
This volume doesn't move the main story forward dramatically, but you did get to know one of the characters way better. Also there are some (evil) seeds that seem about to sprout so I can't wait for the next volume!
