Wandance Manga Volume 1
About Wandance Manga Volume 1
Wandance manga volume 1 features story and art by Coffee.
Kaboku Kotani is starting high school, and he plans to do what he’s always done: go along with his friends, keep quiet, and not to draw too much attention to himself. After all, it’s hard enough to get by with a stutter like his—why make things worse by standing out from the crowd? But then he sees another first-year, Hikari Wanda, dancing like no one is watching—or like she doesn’t care who sees her. It makes Kaboku wonder: Could he reach that same freedom? To find his way to Wanda, he does something he never thought he could: He joins the dance club. After all, every routine begins with a single step, right?

Contemporary Hip Hop

Main character is a tall male student that plays sport casually with a couple of friends growing up. He was expected to join a sports club going into high school (I forgot which sport). He found a girl by chance dancing and was awestruck by her performance. His interest in dancing peaked. His journey into the world of dancing in school begins.
My favorite about this series is how they mention the music being played for each dance scene. I can listen along as I read the panels. It's a lot of fun. The art is unique and great. It's quite contemporary at times in terms of dance, and a bit so with drawn art. Hip Hop culture involved obviously.
