Basketball battles with stakes on and off the court!
by Kastie -
I swear I held my breath too much in this volume! Given the focus on the basketball tournament and the stakes both on and off the court, this is probably the most exciting volume yet. Anashin is excellent at capturing fast-paced action, the story flow is amazing, and the characters continue to grow. I am still thrown by Aya-chan. But in a good way. I think I know who I want to "win" but then I switch. You might lean one way, but it's easy to root for either while cringing that someone has to lose - both on the court and in love. Tensions intensify from here. I think Aya-chan stands out to me because he's always alone, while the others are in the group supporting each other and having fun. I wonder if he has friends like that at his school. (See? Anashin sucks you in and doesn't let go!)
