About Vagabond Manga Omnibus Volume 1

Vagabond Manga Omnibus 1 collects volumes 1-3 and features story and art by Takehiko Inoue.

Real-life figure Miyamoto Musashi was the most celebrated samurai of all time. The quintessential warrior philosopher, Musashi authored A Book of Five Rings, a theoretical guide to military strategy still used today by modern-day businessmen. But the path to enlightenment in feudal era Japan was fraught with peril. At 17 years of age, Musashi - still known by his childhood name Shinmen Takezo - was a wild young brute just setting out along the way of the sword.

Vagabond Omnibus 1 & 2 Order

by -

For Christmas, I ordered the first two BIG volumes of Vagabond for my brother. In case people aren't sure, an omnibus is another name for the "big" volumes that put together several separate volumes.

It seems like Vagabond doesn't sell separate volumes as much anymore, but the omnibus is a great deal because it's generally cheaper in price. While 3 separate Vagabond volumes would've at least been $30, you can get the omnibus for $20. And Rightstuf drops the price even more, so I can now get it for $15. I consider that a good deal. The shipping is a good price too. Plus, when my brother flipped through it, there are some colored pages! It was a nice surprise.

Regarding shipping, it got here within the time they suggested it would and everything was wrapped up very nicely! The books came in brand new condition, and no bend corners or anything, probably due to all the wrapping.

Why Vagabond is a must read.

by

Vagabond is an epic story with something for everyone, whether it be action, drama or character development. The art is so real that my camera facial recognition system actually registered the art as a face so that goes to show that Takehiko Inoue values his art and would rather ensure a product of quality over quantity.

I was scared of ordering this omnibus because it a bigger book than a regular Manga but was very please when I received it. it was in pristine condition. it wasn't bent, and there was no damage that was given due to it being closer to the outside of the little extra box holder. the book itself was 10/10. no markings. no yellow pages.

Can't go wrong with this

I was a bit wary of starting Vagabond. I've been going through a samurai- phase whereby I re-watched Samurai Champloo and Afro Samurai. I was worried I'd get a little burned out, yet I am glad I pulled the trigger on this omnibus. This is a compelling story with beautiful illustrations. I am currently on the fourth omnibus and its only getting better.

WORTH READING! <3

Absolutely stunning series, it's a phenomenal insight into the mindset and struggles of each character and the journey's that they set out on. I love how a master to be, encounters like individuals who maintain their own specialized mastery. There are a lot of famous groups as well, but I'll always love the drifter, the random, the barely noted skilled persons that come to life from the story of Miyamoto (originating from) Musashi (province Musashi) Takezo Shinman (Fujiwara). I'm in LOVE with this series and it has perfectly earned a place within my personal library.

Bad quality

Great story and art, but the book is built like trash. The spine bends easily, the cover comes off, and the pages fall out.

Spines

Such an amazing story in a well delivered Vizbig. The artwork is stunning, as expected of Takehiko Inoue. Every thing is oddly realistic, from the scenes of extreme gore and violence, to the tranquil beauty of nature landscapes.
