The original is still the best

I purchased my copy from the now defunct Animenation who later referred me to this site.

When doing a reboot, the primary goal is not only to do justice to the original material but even supplant it if possible. Main story follows the search for the Super god and how the demons want to stop his coming reign of terror (they prefer hell/universe the way it is)

Some characters return but have been given scrambled assignments and some nobody background actors(like the demon queen) actually have full torso exposures (pun intended "from full torso apparitions" in Ghostbusters) and not just a disembodied voice.

The ero scenes are just as hot, especially the one in the car in episode #2 (with a homage on the autopsy table from the original)but the character designs (I believe they used the one from Gibo: Stepmother) was too, plump, masculine that kind of turned me off.
Sad such a wasted potential.

Decent as the original

Really outstanding and rough as the original hentai anime. good job.

Send it back to hell

I never have high expectations going into any hentai, but Urotsukidoji: New Saga still manages to disappoint me. The erotic scenes look just like the erotic scenes from Stepmother’s Sin (one of the worst hentai released in the US), CGI that is horrible (Sega Saturn bad), and a story that wants to be three things at once (grotesque-erotica, sports drama, and fantasy). At 135 minutes, it is too long and it ends on a cliffhanger. Most baffling to me is that they spread the anime across three discs. Save your money and get Demon Warrior Koji instead. The animation is a tad dated, but it does everything better than Urotsukidoji: New Saga.
