Kaiju girls, but with the Ultraman touch!

by -

Okay, first off I'm a huge Ultraman nerd, so I might be a bit over the top. First off I love the art style, as it mixes the art style of both the monster girls, and the illistrated version of the television show. I will also say that the story is nice and has some good comedy that breaks up the story. It's also nice to see this plays with the Kaiju Graveyard, and how it functions. The characters are also not bland, seeing as they have their own personalities. The only thing that might go against it, is that it moves slow at the beginning, but that's mostly just to ease people into the story. I will say though that the bios for the girls are nice, seeing as they give context from the shows they were in, and also their backstories. I really want to see where this might go for the characters!

The manga you didn't know you wanted

by -

I bought this knowing nothing about Ultraman other than giant monsters and cheesy battles. Add a little extra Japan and you get Kaijugirls. I think of it as a regular delusional girl with a gang of weirdos doing versions of school stuff with a twist of an actual reason for everything happening. It is not going to blow you out of the water, but I enjoyed the absurd premise and the humor. It definitely helps if you know the series, but it is explained as you go so you will know what is going on.
