About Turn A Gundam Movies DVD
This movie collection contains Turn A Gundam movies EARTH LIGHT and MOON BUTTERFLY.
For 2000 years, a separate race of humanity has lived on the moon. Known as "the Moonrace," their technology is leaps and bounds beyond those that stayed behind on the Earth's surface. Now seeking to return to their original home, the Moonrace send three teenagers, Loran, Keith, and Fran, down to Earth on a reconnaissance mission to test the viability of its environment.
After spending a year on Earth, Loran has become good friends with Sochie and Kihel, daughters of the prestigious Heim family, and he looks forward to fully integrating into Earth society. But before Loran gets the chance to make his report, the Moonrace launch a surprise attack. Earth's primitive airplanes are no match for the superior power of the Moonrace's mobile suits. However, in the midst of the initial attack, Loran and Sochie uncover a long-forgotten relic: a white mobile suit. As a Moonrace member, Loran is quickly able to grasp the basics of piloting it, but by doing so, he inadvertently places himself in the middle of a war.

Ratings & Reviews
Gundam is really excellent show. At first I didn't watch it. But now I am buying the dvd's. The show catches your imagination.
Look at it as a cool extra.

Unlike other Gundam compilation films, Turn A is edited down to 2, and not 3 installments. Due to this, a lot of the story is lost. Therefore it is best you see the series first. Gone is the entire Will Game and Adeska subplots, much of the action with the Rett Team and Corin Nander, and the Laura's Cow episode (and it's big revelation about Loran). It's a safe bet you will have a favorite moment or episode that did not make the cut. On the other hand you get a blistering pace with action coming to the forefront. View it as a nice extra to the series. Also nice is the new English language song, After All, by Donna Burke.
Great only if you want it for a collection

After watching the series this became my favorite show in the franchise so I picked up the movie collection so I could do a quick re-watch of the series or show it to a friends without sitting through all 20 hour. I have picked up and seen the compilation films this with Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and 8th MS team so I knew what to expect with story elements being cut and supporting charters getting shafted but this cuts out so much and it is almost unwatchable. The well crafted story that completely shattered my expectations for a Gundam series is becomes stupid and nonsensical.
Long story short just spend the extra money and buy the complete series and only buy this is you are dead set on owning every cut of this series.
