Trigun Badlands Rumble Blu-ray
About Trigun Badlands Rumble Blu-ray
Badlands Rumble is a theatrical side story to the Trigun TV series.
In town surrounded by quicksand, an outlaw from Vash the Stampede's past has resurfaced after twenty years. His name is Gasback - and he's looking to cause a little trouble. It seems Gasback has a serious beef with the town's mayor, who's paying dozens of bounty hunters to protect his turf.
One of those hired guns is a beautiful woman with a vendetta against Gasback. Will she get a shot at revenge? Maybe, if she can get through Gasback's bodyguard, Wolfwood. And what's Vash got to do with this mess? Nothing much - except for the fact that he personally set off the entire chain of events two decades ago!

Blu over Standard this time

Normally I'm a DVD guy for old type of anime. It wasn't until after a while I found out that this movie was created in the late 00's. Pretty much when hd was already established. Thankfully I did pick up the blu ray version because the visuals are stunning.
This is like a Trigun anime episode but longer and with a bigger budget. If you enjoyed the DVD series, then this is a must own. Plus it's a story from the creator himself.
A Great Film For The Classic Series!
by Anime-Ain't-Kid-Stuf
Trigun was always special to me because it was the first anime I have ever been introduced to many years ago. I have never forgotten it, and Vash still manages to inspire me in my own daily life.
It was a joy to see this film appear so many years after the original series has ended, which reflects the unforgettable love we all still have for this series. It was very nostalgic seeing so many familiar faces as well.
The visuals were impressive while managing to maintane the original look and style. The music really drew me in as well. The story was very well done with some great new characters. Overall, I can tell this film was a labor of love from start to finish. Highly recommended!
A breath of fresh air for Trigun fans

This is very much like an extended (or three-parter?) episode of the series, in all the best ways. It introduces unique characters, both antagonists and protagonists, and then proceeds to spin a yarn about how they all came to be in the same place at the same time with wildly different motives, all while Vash is trying to keep tight to his philosophy and stop them from killing each other.
In terms of continuity, the only place in the original series where this would fit is somewhere between episodes 10 and 12. Don't go into this thinking it's a sequel or continuation after the finale, like I did. Spent way too much energy waiting for them to start questioning things that happened in later episodes.
While reuniting all the original English cast would have been great, unfortunately it was not to be. Still, all the energy of Trigun is there even if not all the voices fit.
