Beautifully drawn with no real story...
by MoriaGirl -
Every episode they bring in an other pretty face. They may tell a story, but as a hole, it is lacking. Better if you hold every episode alone, rather then look for a story-line.
If you have time to waste and want to look at pretty boys, this is nice. If you're looking for a story with pretty boys, I recommend Brothers Conflict.
Great series of you are a fan already

Now, to the opinion of others who state that this series has no storyline, they are 80% correct. There is a very minor storyline that arcs over the two seasons. I do not recommend this series for people who are not already a fan of Touken Ranbu, the web browser game because it works as a companion that explores character interactions and how they act in a day to day life that is severely limited in the game. If you already love Touken Ranbu and want a good slice of life show, then this is up your alley (and this is coming from someone who has binged watched the entire series at least five times).
If you want cool sword fights, then I would recommend Katsugeki. If you want a nice slice of life where these boys are learning how to be human, then watch Hanamaru. If you want a show that can make you laugh and cry and see characters and families get reunited after being separated for thousands of years, then I recommend Hanamaru.
