A Beautiful Manga Worth Your Time
by Gabrielle -
So what initially caught my attention when I saw this manga was the cover art. So beautiful I had to see more. Somewhat similar to the style of Kamisama Kiss, but also it's own. I thought it was a very interesting first volume, will definitely pick up volume. Hoping to see whether or not the pacing gets a little more smoother.
As Pretty as the Cover

I bought this on a whim after reading a review. It's a very interesting idea. The art is astetically pleasing, though the cover is the only color page. The pacing is slow but enjoyable. There's a good chunk of the gods that have not been named yet, and there's an interesting dynamic between the Water Dragon and the other inhabitants of his world.
There's a good set up for the next volume with an interesting cliff hanger. Definitely worth picking up if you have an extra 8 dollars.
A winner

I have fallen in love with this series! The main character has something interesting afflict her that I've never seen done to any other main character. The art is gorgeous, and the characters all have strong and interesting personality types. These are not your stereotypical profiles, I can't wait to see every character learn and grow. I recommend everyone give this one a shot. It's a mythical adventure with a fine balance of romance and tragedy.
Simple, yet complex
by Sara -
While it may start off with a simple story line if you stick with it the story and relationships get more complex and compelling.
My opinion

This is one of the best manga's I have ever read. It's a "magnet" manga that seems to have you attached to it to the very end.
It gets better
by Kastie -
I've read 1-3 so far. I like more with each volume, but if I'd had only this first volume, I might not have continued. Even with volume 2, I was still on the fence - until the final panels. I like that this manga makes you think and says a lot with just the panel art. Some aspects of Asahi's reactions are realistic and others aren't. As bad I felt for her most of the time, at others, she comes across as a spoiled brat, which I think is more an attempt to show the culture clash than a true reflection of Asahi. I love Subaru. Hate his mom.
A must read, in my opinion!

The manga is amazing! It starts slow but I promise you it gets better, way way better. I read the manga online and was so excited when I found out it had a hard copy!
enjoyed every single book.
