My biggest complaint about the main Shinmai Maou no Testament manga is that while the smattering of erotic scenes are extremely hot and well done, too much of the series is buried under shounen battles. I get that (sadly) a lot of people prefer violence over eroticism, but I certainly am not one of them.
This new 'companion series'- at least in this first volume- makes things the way I wished they had been from the beginning. The focus here is entirely on the erotic. Unfortunately, like in the main manga there's still no actual sex, but on the other hand the actual eroticism in these scenes surpasses what you see in a lot of hentai.
It probably goes without saying that this isn't for everyone- such as warped minds that get offended by nudity but not gruesome violence. This is for those of us who want to make love, not war. Here's hoping the next four volumes keep up this standard!

The first thing you notice when you start reading is that the art is a distinctly different style than the original work. I consider it an acceptable quality, however the different style stood out after reading the six manga of the main series. The artist is clearly much more comfortable with showing nudity, which will be a plus for some. I personally greatly prefer the original art style and it proved surprisingly difficult for me to adjust.
Storm focuses heavily on the fan service, with the shounen action taking a back seat to the titillation. This is however only the first volume and that may change in the future. This is more like a doujin that teases without going all the way.
If you're in it for the boobs go for it. If you want more of the stellar art of the main series, the shounen action, and a continuation of the story you might want to pass.
tl;dr it's all fan service
