The Squid Girl Blu-Ray
About The Squid Girl Blu-Ray
The Squid Girl Complete Collection contains episodes 1-27 of the anime directed by Tsutomu Mizushima.
Angered by mankind's pollution of her beloved ocean, Squid Girl rises from the dark and mysterious depths in order to punish the loathsome human race! Unfortunately, that plan immediately hits more snags than a dozen fishing lines in a washing machine. Not only does her small stature not intimidate humans, but instead of unleashing a tsunami of destruction, her attempts only cause minor damage to a pleasant little beachside restaurant. And then, the unexpectedly aggressive Aizawa sisters, who run the Lemon Beach House, force her to work there to pay it off! They even make her provide her own squid ink for a tasty squid ink spaghetti!

Ratings & Reviews
Squid Girl is a moe-driven comedy centering on a girl with tentacles for hair who strives to conquer humanity... well at first anyway. For the most part the comedy side of this show centers on the antics and failures of the squid girl and her surrounding cast of eccentric individuals. Depending on your mileage and tolerance of this sort ridiculous of comedy, you may find it enjoyable. Suspend-sense-of-disbelief, TALLYHOE!
A comedy about a squid girl who comes to invade and worms her way into everyone's heart. A fun show that has character development but is never too deep. Great to watch with the family. I even got the parents to watch it and they enjoyed it too.
One of the most underrated anime in A DECADE OR TWO...

I don't give 5-stars to many shows, even the classics that I really liked. I feel as if giving this series a label would demean it so I wouldn't call it moe.
I like the title character -- she's one of those wacky, cute unforgettable types you only see maybe once every ten years. She would have been great in the Looney Tunes years ago but she was born in Japan and bred as only a Japanese character can be today! The supporting cast is unusual with a notable "Big Sis" who makes you wonder if she's human, too!
The situations in this series make me wonder WHY it was broadcast at 2 AM in Japan. There's certainly nothing overly sexual about the series, there's no nudity and it can be watched by the entire family.
Just sit back and experience what happens in a small Japanese resort/beach village when it gets invaded by a naive, super-powered tween squid girl. You will have very few viewing experiences that are as different and entertaining as this show is at least 90% of the time!
I'm so darn glad to finally have both seasons and the ovas totally dubbed on bluray in one set. I have the old Media Blasters bluray set of season 1 but this is so squidly much better! Fansquidtastic!!
A very entertaining and enjoyable anime for all
Squiddie comes to inkvade the surface world to stop bad humans from polluting the sea and finds she ill-equipped to do so after damaging a beachside restaurant she works to pay that off and becomes integrated into the family that owns and runs it. The episodes have three short stories each I really liked some of the ridiculous antics that occur and this suitable for all ages it does take place on a beach so your going to have bikini's and swimsuit's their was nothing that wouldn't be seen on any beach so very little fan-service here. The first season English dub is very good the second season and ova's is just mostly good. Giving a solid 5 here and an 8.5 on a 10 scale.
