I knew this book had dark themes involved before purchasing but I feel like trigger warnings weren't said enough. Involves homophobic slurs, s/a, nonconsenual s*x. Definitely controversial but nonetheless the story is really good. I am obsessed with Yoru and just his kind natured soul. Asa has major character development by the end of the book which was much needed. Asa still has a lot of discovering to do in terms of his relationship and self identity. I thought Yoru deserved better when it came to love, kind of disappointed with how quickly he accepted Asa. All in all, a good book. Going to buy volume two when it releases.
