About The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System Novel Volume 1

The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System: Ren Zha Fanpai Zijiu Xitong Novel was written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu with illustrations by Xiao Tong Kong (Velinxi) and includes 11 black and white illustrations alongside the prose, 4 color pages (including a bonus illustration), character and term guides, and a beautiful cover with French flaps and spot gloss effects.

Half-demon Luo Binghe rose from humble beginnings and a tortured past to become unrivaled in strength and beauty. With his harem of over three hundred wives, and dominion over both the human and demonic realms, he is truly the most powerful protagonist—in a trashy web novel series!

At least, that's what Shen Yuan, online alias "Peerless Cucumber," believes as he finishes reading the final chapter in Proud Immortal Demon Way. But when a combination of rage and a poor meal choice leads to his death, Shen Yuan finds himself reborn into the world of the web novel, in the body of Shen Qingqiu—the beautiful but cruel teacher to a young Luo Binghe.

Although as Shen Qingqiu, he now has incredible power and abilities as a cultivator, he’s destined to be horrifically punished for crimes against the protagonist, so this new Shen Qingqiu has only one course of action: get into Luo Binghe’s good graces before the young man’s rise to power. That’s the only way he’ll escape the awful fate of a true scum villain!

Many overlook the eldest Brother of Mxtx' works which is crazy because this one is so GOOD and I'm not just saying that because I'm a hardcore Luo Binghe fangirl..♡..
The Special guides, glossaries and terminology is absolutely amazing! I'm so happy it was all added. The detail and time they put into each of these novels is amazing..
I'm so proud of these novels.

I decided to check this out because I love Heaven Official’s Blessing and I’m glad that I did! It’s a unique story and the beef between the MC and “the System” cracks me up.

One of my favorites!!!

As an introduction to the “danmei” genre, I found this novel to be very fortunate. Personally, I had never read this genre before and out of the three MXTX’s first novel volumes published by Seven Seas, it was the correct choice to chose this one to read first. It is not as lengthy as the others and it is not a novel where you have to know about the “cultivation” or “wuxia” themes, as it does provide a glossary at the end of the book.
The MC is by far one of the most realistic out of the “isekai” leads in the genre; his quick wit, reactions, and thoughts make him quite entertaining.
This novel is quite refreshing when it comes to the “isekai” genre, as its writing and situations are not the typical ones usually seen in novels and manga of this type. There are also no fillers or unnecessary plots in it, which was very nice.

Overall, I really loved this book, and I recommend everyone to give it a chance!

Shen Qingqiu is the most frustrating narrator I've ever had the pleasure of reading

by -

MXTX's first series is one that's near and dear to my heart for a variety of reasons, but I'd have to say her main strengths lie in her ridiculously thorough backstories, characters, and relationships, and how they (the characters *and* their relationships) change over time. She's a writer that's fascinating to read if you're a writer, and fun to read even if you're just along for the ride. She also has an incredible talent in creating narrators whose perspectives are not only fun to read, but whose biases and insight give added depth to the story they're experiencing.

If you'd like to read a story about tragic pasts, traumatic fights, and complicated relationships, but you don't really want to be bogged down by the angst - this is a fantastic story. The narrator is a millennial with a penchant for glib commentary, sarcasm, and exasperated ramblings. This story would be a tragedy from anyone else's perspective, but he's just vibing, the silly little man.
