A massive monster bearing the appearance of a giant tortoise must be defeated. The monster is so powerful that even the mightiest adventurers cannot defeat him so what hope is there for Naofumi?

The Anime Continues...

This volume pretty much picks up where the anime left off. The catch-up this series does is really well done and makes sure that you're all on the same page (pun intended) before starting on this next adventure.
The story itself is really good. In a way, it feels like the calm before the storm by the time you finish it. It's a 'slow' start that warrants a lot of set up for new members and characters. It ends in an epic battle and a mystery that will continue into the next volume.
Overall, this was a fun and quick read. Even with the large page count, it went by fast. There are a few instances where letters were left off of words or were replaced by wrong letters. There is a printing, or formating, error on page 198/199. It's not unreadable, just noticeable.
Overall, high recommend.
