One of the most enjoyable series I have ever read.

The Rising of the Shield Hero is a very enjoyable story that I would highly recommend reading if you enjoy stories about an Otaku stuck in a medieval fantasy world. I would recommend getting and reading the light novels first and then reading the manga afterwords. Both of the light novels and manga have grammar errors the editors missed, but that's not a deal breaker.

Fantasy-RPG-ish

It felt like it has really good premiere that makes you feel exciting and emotional at the same time.

I would recommend the light novel version since it has more in-dept details to it. Manga version is a good way to start with since you can get into their characters and circumstance before moving on to the light novel version.

This is definitely for you if you like those that has to do with fantasy worlds and has the feels of jRPG elements.

Not your typical "isekai"

There have been so many "born in another world" series recently that many people write them off before they even give them a shot nowadays. I jumped into this one as a leap of faith and it did not disappoint. Following the main character as he is thrown further and further into a pit of despair is a real journey.
