About The Price of Smiles Blu-ray

The Price of Smiles contains episodes 1-12 of the anime directed by Toshimasa Suzuki.

The orphaned Princess Yuki of the Kingdom of Soleil is still only a young girl, but she's trying hard to learn the skills she desperately needs. What the Princess doesn't know, however, is that even her most trusted advisors have been shielding her from a deadly fact: Soleil and its neighbor, the Empire of Grandiga, are heading to war.

Meanwhile, in the Empire, a young soldier named Stella Shining prepares for battle. Despite having already lost her parents to conflict, Stella is unusual in that she always tries to keep a smile on her face… even when there's nothing left to smile about. As Yuki discovers the truth, a new form of weapon is unleashed, and Stella's smile slowly becomes a deathly rictus grin when two nations go to war.

Very good premise but a bad execution....

by

They know the problems in a war series and tryed to avoid (must of) then and that is their force!
Really divide the time between the two sides of war.
Has some good strategies showed in the series.
But the problems run over the good things like:
All the main caracters are good people and others are "evil" people! (normal and bad "trope" of war series).
Bad action scenes
The plot has a good and strong begin but some decisions maded in the series run maked all the plot to go in a way like to not make spoilers...in a easy solutions and bad way to tell story.
The series has good intencions but fall in some traps and for me is recomended for people what to see a diferent tale of war or any sci-fi series.
