Zelda Forever
by LUKI -
I literally grew up with video games, so I played every Zelda game in order as they were released. Yes, I'm old.
For a little kid who only had experience with Pitfall on his grandpa's Atari 2600, the original Zelda was from a completely different dimension. The first time I played it, I was mystified. It wasn't just a game, it was whole new reality.
After that, it just got better. Each game added some new, wild twist while maintaining the core ethos of what Zelda is supposed to be. No other long-running series has been able to do that.
This book compiles all of those memories and experiences plus a mind-boggling amount of additional information into one very dense, heavy place. Kids, do NOT put this book on the top shelf.
The previous two volumes of this series were excellent, but this Encyclopedia tops them all. Whether you're like me and see Zelda & Link as old childhood friends, or you're new to the series, it's very simple:
You want this. There is no debate.
