The Prologue Movie That Reveals the Legend of Mahesvara
by MKY -
Three years ago, Tatsuya and Miyuki as middle school students attend a family trip with their mother to Okinawa. Three years ago, the 'Great Asian Alliance' would also invade Okinawa with a huge armada that changes everything...
Good film that I recommend to those who've seen the TV series as movie basically fills in the void from the original show. Pleased that film covers the Genetic Magical Manipulation, Miyuki's change of heart towards Tatsuya, the words said by Honami Sakurai to Tatsuya while wearing their Hard Suits, and lastly, what happened in that battle that survivors declared saw a 'Demon of Okinawa' they also would name, 'Mahesvara".
Film does feature decent animated scenes/backgrounds, though the musical score felt a bit mediocre by comparison, but film at least answers many questions from the original TV show.
Cardboard box is unfortunately flimsy packaging, includes a thin booklet, and disc has several promo spots.
Overall four stars and enjoy in 1080p / 16:9 format.
A great prequel to the main series.

I really enjoyed the back story on Miyumi and Tatsuya. You see the potential of Tatsuya from a young age and the underestimating of him by the Yotsuba family. He is truly a gem in the rough here.
