Future Diary

If you're a fan of The Hunger Games or things like it, you will definitely love this anime. The story is very interesting and has one of the craziest plot twists I've ever seen. The animation and voice acting are really good. I would recommend this to any anime fan.

A story thats crazy

So this is my opinion, everyone is different. But it takes a special anime for me to go out an buy it after watching it. So the story is amazing, best way to describe it is, its has a game of thrones feel with the ending that touchs your heart (maybe). I approve the ending, the ova just explains everything youd wanna know

An Exciting, Intriguing, and Touching Story

The Future Diary is a very unique show. It has so many different tones throughout its episodes that it is hard to put a singular label on what the show is. At times, it's a dramatic survival game. Sometimes, it's a mystery. It can be Sci-Fi, or a love story, or even tragic enough to make you cry. It's very controversial. I loved the show, but I can see why somebody wouldn't like it at all. It has plot holes you can drive a bus through, and plenty of one-note characters with little to no development. Yet, despite all its obvious problems, I completely loved this show. It is incredibly intense, mysterious, unpredictable, and towards the end, very emotional. I'll admit that it made me tear up! It has a completely rocking soundtrack, and with Yuno Gasai, one of the absolute best female characters you'll ever see in any anime. If this show seems even remotely interesting to you, I'd recommend giving it a try!

The Future Diary Complete Series Bluray Review

I watched this anime before purchasing it so I knew what show I was getting which is a mixture of death note and battle royale IMO ;)

As for the release it received I was hoping for a LE boxset but sadly only the DVD version got that treatment which has now gone oop so you only get a slipcover with a bluray amaray case with the bluray discs in it but in the end I was happy this release got a bluray uncut version as I did enjoy the series for what it was and it was nice to see it on bluray :)

Future Diary

After watching this show a third time, I had to buy it in the best quality I could. The wild characters are the best part of the show. It doesn't speak to everybody but it's the first show I viewed more than once. It is worth a watch for anyone based on the characters alone.

Not complete series

Future diary was amazing, kinda like a animated game of thrones. Loved the quality of the blu ray.

But what gets me is that its missing the OVA "redial" which seriously wraps it up in a bow, the DVD/blu ray skims it with the ending with the message "yuno comes back" or something related like that and you hear glass breaking and Yuki he his spirit to continue.

Worth the money

This is a great series that is totally worth the watch.

A Worthy Purchase

The Future Diary is intense and touching all at the same time, even when you know what's coming it's still just as exciting to watch again and again. While some parts of the plot and some characters are only developed enough to just barely get by, the majority of the story and certainly the main characters pull through to deliver. So if a survival game between 12 people with future predicting diaries tailored to their unique traits/habits sounds remotely interesting, this show is for you. From sympathetic to psychotic with a horrific/heart breaking twist at the end, it's all written here in The Future Diary.

You'll either Hate or <3 Future Diary

This is that kind of anime where you are either going to hate it or love it. Similar to fans and haters of SAO. It has flaws and holes in it's story. But if you can just accept some of this anime's dumb flaws and enjoy the characters, then I say give it a shot. This blu ray copy is excellent for any fan of the series. The audio, both Japanese and English, is great, although the Japanese voice actor for Yuno is far superior. The blu ray screen quality is excellent as well. I haven't really checked out the special features for this release, but my friend says that they are pretty well put together for this blu ray.

Overall, if your a fan of this show and prefer blu ray, I say give this copy a buy (especially if it's on sale). But, if you have never seen this show, I would suggest checking out a few episodes on anime-streaming services like Crunchroll & Funimation before buying. I hope this review was helpful and Happy Anime Bingeing!

I love this series. Not only because of the plot and some twists, but also through it all, I love a good mystery.

A Truly Great Anime Gem of Recent Years

A truly great anime gem of recent years. This blu ray release makes the once expensive series affordable and in stunning 1080 p. A must watch for lovers of bloody horror anime!
