Not sure how I feel about the series

by -

Not really sure how I feel exactly about the series as a whole. I constantly see it praised for its irony and comedy, and I'm starting to think maybe it isn't for me specifically. It's not that I think it's not funny at all, but not all the jokes land right with me. It did keep me interested enough to keep reading though, so take that for what its worth.

The comedy continues

Continuing from my review of the 1st novel.
So, still amazingly funny. You have to really enjoy typical anime cliches with great characterization along with ironic happenstance circumstances.

Our hero continues his plan to act as a shadow mastermind but oddly hits the nail on the head while still being clueless and his organization which does most of the work is his devoted harem of girls he’s been saving from the cult. Now, volume two is where some interesting plot developments occur that give us more backstory on what’s really going on. So if you enjoyed book 1 you won’t be disappointed in this one.
