About The Disastrous Life of Saiki K Part 1 Blu-ray/DVD

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Part 1 contains episodes 1-12.

Saiki Kusuo is your typical 16-year-old high school student, except for one thing—he’s got psychic powers. Incredible ones. In fact, he’s so powerful, he could probably rule the world if he wanted to. Don’t be mistaken though, it’s really not as great as it sounds. After all, you wouldn’t want to hear the weird things people think or all the spoilers they know! And surprise parties? Forget about ’em.

No, this psychic genius is all about keeping a low profile. But high school isn’t about to let that happen. His quirky classmates and embarrassing parents just can’t leave him alone! He’s got the world at his fingertips, but the one thing he’ll never get…is a break.

Special Features: Episode 1 Commentary, Textless Opening & Closing Songs, Trailers.

My all-time favorite comedy

by -

The Disastrous life of Saiki K is about a 16 year old boy named Saiki who just wants to be left alone. He's an almost emotionless protagonist who never actually talks as he would rather use his telepathy to project his voice into everyone's minds. He will do everything in his power to make his life as uneventful as possible since he doesn't want to stick out.

The dub is phenomenal, the actors did a fantastic job especially Jerry Jewell who voiced Saiki. The sub is also fantastic as well but I found it to be a bit harder to follow considering how fast paced the jokes are. Especially since sometimes characters talk over one another. One of my favorite things is how Saiki reacts to certain situations. At times I found us both having the same reaction.

I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes comedy and wants something with a different approach to the genre. If you're a fan of comedy then I feel you owe it to yourself to at least give this a chance.
