A portal opens in the courtyard of the Devil's Castle (a tiny walk-up). From it emerges a little girl who calls the Devil King "Papa" and the Hero "Mama." Ashiya and Chiho are shocked to discover that Maou and Emi had that kind of relationship, but nobody's more surprised than the two new "parents." Will Maou the breadwinner be able to make the grade when it comes to child rearing? And will this spell the end of the starry-eyed Emi's romantic ambitions?

Going Beyond the Light Novel

Thanks to Yen Press's localization of The Devil is a Part Timer light novel, people can finally continue the story after the arcs covered in the anime that ran during Spring of 2013. The translation quality itself seems good, avoiding the issues brought up in other localisations such as No Game No Life and its blend of Japanese and English language. The voices of the characters are apparent even after translation (when compared to the anime).
The novel itself was good, coming with only minuscule amounts of wear and tear expected from storage and transport, unlike the spine damage you can see in actual bookstores.
The product is good and carries an enjoyable story that suits as a continuation to the anime that many have come to enjoy, since a second season of the anime seems to be a long-shot at this point.
