The Devil is a Part-timer
This is a really humorous view of the King of Hell. He's not what he's cracked up to be, until someone starts messing around with those he cares about. No spoilers here, but this is an intriguing perspective on the Devil and his motivations, plus some wickedly barbed comments on the world's current culture. For instance, when an underling makes a very cogent comment to her higher=up, the boss replies, "Don't think outside your pay grade . . . . " highlighting one of the biggest problems worldwide in today's actual organizations! ;-) I have really enjoyed this DVD - the characters, the animation, the writing, and the production values. It certainly gave me my money's worth. Give it a try!

I absolutely love this Anime Classics edition of The Devil Is A Part-Timer! It was definitely worth the money.
I really like the artwork on the front, inside, and back of the DVD/Blu-Ray case. It comes with an outer sleeve (same artwork as the case with the addition of an "Anime Classics" border, like the picture).
As for the show itself, it is one of my favorite comedies! However, it also has a great "serious" side as well, which I enjoy. With each episode, the show just gets funnier and more entertaining as new characters from the story arrive. It's one of those shows that the more you watch it, the more you appreciate its sense of comedy, storytelling, and character development.
If you need a good laugh with a great, unique story, then this is definitely the anime for you! I highly recommend it! ^_^

Short and sweet: this was very fun.
A great series

I watched this series originally on Netflix and loved it. I recently picked it up during the 2016 Holiday sale and its worth it. Its fun to see someone from being a villain in one world to a ordinary person in the next. Seeing how they react to stuff normal people see everyday but is new to them. This series is a worth a watch if you haven't seen it before.

Supreme comedy. That’s what Hataraku Maou-sama is. I like to split the comedy genre into two types when it comes to it and the anime series in general: the first one is the comedy flow that is present through the entire series. It is there to make the series a tad lighter, to bring some more energy and by chance, to make us smile every once in a while. The second one, however, tends to focus on separate scenes rather than bringing the quirky atmosphere. It focuses on jokes and scenes that make us not only smile, but laugh. From sadistic to well-planned situations alike, that would be the general purpose of the second type - making us laugh.
Hataraku Maou-sama is the second type. Furthermore, it is extremely successful.

Beware! You may or may not get a slipcover/sleeve with your order. I didn't get one and after contacting the staff and checking their inventory they told me that some of the sets didn't come with the sleeve so it was not guaranteed.
Other than that, this series is hilarious! The subtle comedy makes it even better. I recommend this series to anyone.
Deserves a second season

This is a fantastic comedy that had me giggling like crazy. It's too bad there isn't been a second season, but the manga is definitely worth your time. As per usual with the Anime Classic and S.A.V.E. sets; what you see is what you get.

One of the funniest shows that I have ever seen. You come to both love and laugh at all the characters.
I enjoyed it very much.
Devil King will now take your order

If you like the light novel and manga series then this is a great addition. I can't get enough of the action and the "love" banter between Maou and Emi a.k.a The Demon Lord Satan and The Hero Emilia. Along the demon king's underlings and others from their world in our world there is nothing but now stop fun and action.
A great anime with a fun story.

The Devil Is A Part Timer is a great anime with a fun story. The characters are well-developed and enjoyable. The pacing of the anime is excellent and engages the audience.
Great show no ending.
by Colin W
Great show would give it more stars if it had a proper ending. Anime just randomly ends it doesn't finish and there is no second season planned. With regards to the set its a good price for a very funny show. So if you don't mind it not having an ending pick it up. The only way its going to be completed is if enough people support the series.
A well animated and interesting story about the Devil working part-time at MgRonalds!
After Satan is defeated in Ente Isla he ends up in modern day Tokyo. That doesn't stop Satan though as he still aspires for world domination, however, he'll money to survive in Tokyo so he takes up a part-time job with the local MgRonalds.
The show is beautifully animated, humorous and a bargain money-wise. The only shame is that there is no second season.

The Devil is a Part Timer is a must for a Blu-ray collection

The Devil is a Part Timer is a fantastic anime.
Almost all characters have real depth and growth to them, and have believable interactions with one another. The humor is great, and the is an overarching plot that drives the story with a few just for fun type episodes. This anime deserves as season 2.
As for the blu-ray, the cover art let the viewer know about each characters personality, with the reversible cover showing the three female main characters that also convey their respective personalities.
