Gorgeous art; Aoi, Himari, & Kasha centric volume; Not much Nue

by -

At first, #13 seems like a lot of filler. But it actually shows Himari's growth and how far Aoi will go for her, among other things. The Nue doesn't appear much (pout). This volume is fairly centered on Aoi, Himari, and Kasha, with a few appearances of past characters. Aya Shouoto's art is beautiful as always. There's an interesting dynamic between Aoi and Kasha here that's brought to the forefront and I look forward to learning more in the future. I was hoping for more after the long wait following #12, but I love this series so I'm always happy with a new release. The last chapter is a bit confusing. There's a spot where the scene jumps like it missed a few panels and some other random awkwardness, but the gist is there.
