A Must Have for Fans!

by -

This is a great art book to have for any fan. It has art of all the covers of the original manga volumes along with the cover art for all of the new Fullmetal editions, long before they are even released! There is also the promotional art for the magazine the manga was originally released in, and artwork for all of the video games (PS2 and Wii). I notice it does not have art of the specific characters from the ps2 games (I have the 2nd art book and compared) but to me it's not a big deal. And at the end you get to see how Hiromu Arakawa creates these works, using an example she made just for this book! It shows what materials she uses and techniques for how she does the coloring and the like. It's great for anyone who wants to try a hand at creating their own works. And there is an interview with the author too. And we finally find out what color(s) Alphonse is supposed to be! For any fan of Fullmetal Alchemist or anime art in general this is a great addition to any collection.

I only read the 1st volume of Fullmetal Alchemist, but boi do I love Hiromu Arakawa art. I think even if you're a fan of the 1st Fullmetal Alchemist anime adaptation series it is still worth having in your collection.

I was very happy with this purchase! The book is very thick and the art pages are glossy. The artwork is also stunning and I highly recommend this for any FMA fan
