The Beast of Gevaudan arc continues with startling revelations surrounding Cloe's plan!

The volume came in great condition. I read it in one sitting!
The Beast of Gevaudan arc continues with startling revelations surrounding Cloe's plan! The tone of this volume is more serious and darker as backstories are elaborated on with haunting imagery to match. Jun Mochizuki really nailed the facial expressions -the fear and sadness the characters felt are very palpable. I felt that the multiple backstories slowed down the pacing; however, I think understanding the characters will make the resolution of this arc more satisfying.
I cry every time because the art is just too pretty

Do you want pretty art in a manga? Because this series has GORGEOUS art. And an awesome story to boot! I was really hoping the Gevaudan story would be over by this volume (it's not), but I'm not mad with the result. This volume had quite the reveal with Naenia and I can't wait to see what they're going to do now with this new information. I'll never get over the characters use of French dialogue either. Vanitas saying Quoi? with a blank expression is forever amusing.
