About Symphogear GX Season 3 Blu-ray

Symphogear GX Season 3 contains episodes 1-13 of the anime directed by Katsumi Ono.

WHAT WAS PASSED ON TO YOU? WHAT WILL YOU PASS ON?

Though the threat of the Noise might be over, that doesn’t mean Hibiki and the other wielders get a rest! In London, Tsubasa and Maria hold a concert together, while back in Japan the rest of the girls stay up late to watch the show. The fun gets interrupted however when a new foe appears in the form of strange, autonomous dolls, yearning to hear the wielders’ songs--and break them. They’re not the only threat, either, as Hibiki finds herself face to face with Carol, a young girl who wields a power unlike anything seen before: alchemy! Can Hibiki find a way to reach out to Carol, or will Carol murder all the miracles? This includes the complete third season in 1080p high definition with the original Japanese language, and English subtitles.

Special Features: Commercials, Promos, Clean OP and ED.

A third season with more strengths than weaknesses

by -

Symphogear GX is a strong third season that adds quite a bit to what was already built within previous seasons. A new threat is presented and is worth seeing how the Symphogear cast deals with that. The action doesn't take a step back from the standard established in G (Season 2) and the cast is as likeable as ever. Symphogear continues to provide a unique mix of action, music, and idol performances that few series can match. And anyone looking forward to any of those elements will enjoy themselves with GX. It does have weaknesses and some plot lines work better than others.

Once more the singular BD disk is absolutely packed with content. The inclusion of some of the voice actresses discussing the first episode is a real treat. But it also has the OVA shorts like in G. The extras are a nice touch on a solid package. Songs are subtitled and subtitles can be turned off when desired.

Overall GX provides a great deal of entertainment.

Not bad, but not great

by

The characters, music and action are all as good as the first 2 seasons. Some characters get some back story filled in. The bad however is the fact that every episode has at least 2-4 full transformation sequences and they get tedious to have to sit through. The only bad part of the story is the Noize monsters that were supposed to de defeated in season 2 are brought back under a flimsy "difference" so they can have cannon fodder to chew through each episode.
