About Sword Art Online Aincrad Part 2 Novel Volume 2

Sword Art Online Aincrad part 2 Novel Volume 2 is written by Reki Kawahara.

Linked up and logged into the deadly VMMORPG "Sword Art Online" in both the real and virtual worlds, Kirito is stuck in a hell of one man's making, and like everyone else, unable to escape until the game is beaten. But while some players are crippled by fear and others throw themselves into completing the game, still others relax into everyday life in the face of their cruel predicament.

Those players live to the best of their ability - laughing, crying, but always enjoying the game. Among them are four women who make a mark upon the solo adventurer that Kirito has become: Silica, the beast-tamer; Lisbeth, the blacksmith; Yui, the mysterious orphan; and the tragic Sachi, never to be forgotten by the black swordsman...

If You Didn't Fancy Asuna, Try This

Part Two of the Aincrad arc divides itself into four stories, one for each of SAO's side female protags. This novel puts up the best fight in comparison to those that I've read in the franchise - I'd even be daring to call it the best in the series. Why? I was one of the few who thought, "Sure, Asuna is great, but I wish I saw more of the other girls."

Fast-paced yet contains all of the superb RPG details we fans crave! Not to mention, abec's cover and inside artwork is both engaging and elegant. My favorite story was Lizbeth's, for rather than reading from Kirito's perspective, we learn the tale through the eyes of the pink blacksmith herself.

Considering that the anime did a decent job at capturing all of the aspects of this novel, I only recommend picking up this up if you feel burnt-out with SAO, and are desiring to fall in love with the series all over again. That's what I did, and like magic I was pulled back into Kawahara's famed world of swords.

I'm glad to say that this series is pretty easy to get into and better yet, the first book is self-contained and while the series does continue (the next book is a collection of stories), it's a nice safe entry point for the series. If you don't like it enough to want to continue, you can always stop here. I think that's part of why I enjoyed this volume so much- it got fairly straight to the point with things, especially the inevitable romance between our very good looking main characters. It does gloss over the game a little, but part of the beauty here is that the game is pretty standard RPG stuff and most won't really miss the lack of detail unless you are completely new to gaming as a whole.

I'd definitely recommend this and it's a good all audiences type of work, as both teens and adults would get into this quite easily. I would recommend this for teens or mature younger children as there is a bit of violence in the work and there are some slight references to sexuality.

Sword Art Online... I was told that this book focuses on three different girls in Aincrad in their point of view. I didn't think Kazuto was in this book as much because of the different point of views. I suppose my stupid self forgot that HE WAS ON THE COVER! I forgot about his sickly character design and purchased the book anyway.

I don't even know if the novel is better or worse than the previous one. I'm just going to end the review here. Please don't buy it.
