Strawberry Marshmallow TV Collection Blu-ray
About Strawberry Marshmallow TV Collection Blu-ray
Strawberry Marshmallow contains episodes 1-12 of the anime directed by Takuya Satō.
Nobue Itou may be attending college, but her real lessons come from dealing with her 12-year-old sister Chika and her equally adorable friends. There's Miu Matsuoka, the troublemaking girl next door who's never found a diabolical plan that she wasn't willing to hatch. Then there's the perplexing Ana Coppola, who was born in England but has lived in Japan for so long that she's forgotten most of her English and is unsuccessfully attempting to re-learn her British heritage based on some rather erroneous assumptions. After those two handfuls, shy, sensitive Matsuri Sakuragi should be a welcome dose of normality, but unfortunately Matsuri is also incredibly gullible. And then there's Chika herself, who's actually the most mature and sensible person in the Itou household… which comes in handy when her older sister attempts to raid Chika's savings in order to buy cigarettes! Get ready for a cute overload so intense that it can be used as a deadly weapon when slices of everyday life get whipped to frothy perfection in STRAWBERRY MARSHMALLOW!

Ratings & Reviews
I have the old Geneon boxset and this is one of the most heart felt SOL series I've seen. Miu is a little pest who more often than not gets laid out on the floor for scheming at the expense of others. Anna is very paranoid about her lost British heritage while trying to recover her identity. A very funny show that has a lot of heart.

This is seriously one of my all time favorite anime to just watch and enjoy, which I do a couple times a year now. The humor is brilliantly timed, the characters are charming and adorable in their own ways and the story, while a bit zany at times, still has enough heart to touch me every time I watch it (especially the Christmas episode). If you haven't experienced this series yet, and especially if you are a fan of slice of life series or well written comedies, you owe it to yourself to have this (and the finally released OVA collection as well) on your shelf somewhere.
Been waiting a long time for this to come to North America.

If you like the kids fail youtube videos then you will love this. All female cast and really funny. I tried to think about a series to compare this to but it just stands alone. It's a great funny ride to chill out with.
P.S. I'm a dude and I'm straight and I still like it so don't tell anybody.
A sweet, funny and relaxing anime
Strawberry Marshmallow was my gateway to other types of anime, besides shoujo, shonen back in 2006. This anime opened my eyes to a new form of telling a story too. Even though it's a slice of life anime it tells the story about Miu, Chika, Anna, Matsuri and Chika's big sister Nobue. Each episode has its own plot, something I adore a lot because if you pay REAL attention to each character you'll find a purpose to their actions that range from very sweet and thoughtful actions to very mischievous situations that'll automatically turn in laughs.
I'm really glad Sentai Filmworks rescued it! And then I thought that I lost my chance to have this title in my anime collection when Geneon went bankrupt.
In short, THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE MOE anime, it’s a fresh, sweet and relaxing anime.
GIVE IT A SHOT YOU WON’T REGRET IT!!!
