Slam Dunk Manga Volume 3
About Slam Dunk Manga Volume 3
Slam Dunk 3 features story and art by Takehiko Inoue.
For a self-proclaimed genius such as Sakuragi, executing a dazzling slam dunk is no problem at all, but what about some other basketball moves that require a bit more finesse? Not to mention exhibiting a firm understanding of basketball fundamentals, which he most certainly doesn't have. With the help of Haruka (and some goading from captain Akagi), Sakuragi attempts to put his pride in check and learn how to pull off a basic lay-up. In theory it should be easy... but sometimes the simplest shots are the toughest to master.

Hanamichi's uniform, from #16 to #10, because he's "persistent"

Perfect condition as expected. Haruko with a Shohoku baggy uni shirt is so cute in the cover, and chibi Sakuragis all over her is hilarious. The green color in the title makes it look amazing in the shelf next to the first 2. The story on this one sees Akagi finally accept Sakuragi because he overheard him reject Tacchan and the Judo team saying he is a Basketball Man. Then the training arc with Haruko is so cool, because even when she's a little clumsy, she's an expert at layups, the simplest shot in the game. We also meet Hikoichi, a bench player/scout for Ryonan, who becomes a very good side character when in game, along with Haruko and Hanamichi's band. The gag with Hanamichi's tape number, and how he steals number 10 is hilarious. And off we go to our first game, though it's a friendly match, there's no lost love between Akagi and Uozumi, and we will also meet their Ace, Sendoh.
