About Sketchbook full color's DVD

Sketchbook -full color's- collection contains episodes 1-13 of the anime directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike.

No matter where she goes, Sora takes her sketchbook along. The world is full of mysterious and beautiful things, after all, and Sora doesn't want to miss a single one. The best way she knows to capture each moment is by drawing and sketching, watching and learning.

However, though Sora is full of wonder, she's also incredibly shy. She doesn't have many friends, except for her fellow classmates in the Art Club. But even though they all seem to be slightly crazy (the teacher included), each of them adds another bright color to Sora's world.

Special Features: Picture Dramas 1-6, Clean Openings and Closings, Dandelion Waterwheel Music Video, Promotional Video, Commercials.

Spoken Languages: Japanese, English subtitles.

Multi-purpose onions!!!

by -

I pre-ordered this title and somehow managed to receive it before the release date. I remember first watching the whole series on crunchyroll, before it was later pulled. So I was very much thrilled to see it released to disk.
If you're the shy type (like I was and still sort of am), then you'll probably appreciate the main character Sora. There are some good extras, especially the picture dramas. The series is short and spread out over 3 disks, but it's still a treasure worth savoring. There is no English dub; however, that didn't bother me, since the original voices match the characters so well. Overall, very satisfying, just like a cup of Sora's tea.
[BTW, my review title is a reference from one of the episodes. Just couldn't help it.]

A Gem

This was an anime that we caught on the Internet and then for some strange reason it got pulled and we weren't able to finish watching it, much to our disappointment. So, we were very happy to see it get licensed. An English dub would have been nice but sometimes an anime is so good that it isn't that important and this is one of those.

It's light and funny and charming and we are very happy to have had the chance to finally see the complete anime and have the opportunity to add it to our collection.
