I found this anime to be quite good. I liked the art. It has a good story line using a little time loop concept. It has enough mystery to keep one wondering until the end what will happen to the characters and is there an ending. So definitely a thumbs up.
Great (cult) anime, TERRIBLE release!

Shamanic Princess is a surreal and mysterious 6 part OVA experiment about magic, dark(?) magic, friendship and rivalry between cool magical people who do magical things for great justice. And there is some philosophy and occult themes to complete the package. Forgive me for not being super serious... but the anime, despite holding together with chewing gum and wire, somehow WORKS, if only barely. The team seems to had been inexperienced with crafting a complex plot, but had so much passion it all evened out in MY opinion. The art could be called "dated", and "90s", but I personally like it, and it is of quality. Animation is fluid when it needs to be, and the soundtrack is FANTASTIC!
Unfortunately, this particular release is RUINED, and completely. A wrong deinterlacing filter was applied to whatever source material was given, and now half the resolution is lost, and ugly interlacing artifacts permeate every frame, with absolutely no way of removing them. SEEK A DIFFERENT RELEASE.
