About Seraphim 266613336 Wings Manga

Seraphim 266613336 Wings Manga features story by Mamoru Oshii and art by Satoshi Kon.

A future Earth is devastated by the "Angel Plague," a pandemic that induces apocalyptic visions in the afflicted, even as it ossifies their bodies into dead, seraphic forms. A cult-ridden, army-backed medical unit journeys into the heart of a dying Asian city accompanied by Sera, a mysterious girl linked to the phenomenon itself. Have they come here to kill or cure? And is the Angel Plague a withered branch on the tree of life, or somehow a new flowering of existence?

All around solid

As the description says, the story is unfinished, but it ends at a good point considering that. Good art, story, and themes.

It's got some really cool symbolism, and if you don't understand it, don't worry, there's a really good (and long) essay at the back that talks about them, as well as aspects of the manga's creation, the relationship between Kon and Oshii, and a bunch more. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
