Seeing More Facets Of Mei

I saw the the first episode of Say I Love you on a free cable preview a few years ago and instantly liked it. I decided to pick up the manga some time later, and have to say that I enjoy it just as much if not more so. The art is cute and the love story of Mei and Yamato is endearing and full of angst. In volume 8, you see a little more aggressive side of Mei as she tries harder to come out of her shell by pursing a school popularity contest after she is chosen as a candidate. Megumi is also chosen, and is determined to win so she can go on a date with Yamato. The drama isn't as big in this volume as in others, but you do see how much Mei's anxiety truly affects her. If you have read the other volumes of Say I Love you, then you'll enjoy this one.
