The Secretary is the Real Demon
by HannoX -
While a comedy, the humor is more situational rather than due to zany characters or crazy antics. So it's not laugh-out-loud funny, although I did at one point.
The humor is derived mostly from the situation the demons find themselves in due to kidnapping a highly efficient, cold-blooded secretary. She reorganizes them along the lines of an efficient, major corporation with such things as maternity leave, child support and health care. But she can also be more ruthless than they and that leaves them somewhat afraid of her. Even Satan finds himself bossed around by her.
The creator shows considerable creativity in coming up with dozens of different designs for the demons. I recommend this if a quieter form of humor is to your liking.
Not my cup of tea

I liked the artwork well enough, but the layout was a bit of a mess, overly crammed with art and text in places. I was also taken aback by how icy cold and inhuman the secretary was. There was a brief moment near the end of the volume where readers were given a glimpse of her motivations, but for the most part I just couldn't connect with her in any way. The humor was okay, but I'd recommend other comedy series before this one.
Specialized tastes

This one is good but hard to recommend. The main idea is already well stated by reviewer HannoX (keep scrolling in the reviews if you do not see). The secretary's perspective tinges everything with a dark humor. If you are looking for a darker version of Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle then you will like this. If you want something more lighthearted then this is a 50/50 recommend.
