A Rather Cute and Fun Series

Despite the heavier themes, this one-shot series tends to take a more lighthearted approach, often coming off as a bit childish - though usually in a cute and fun way.
It's actually decent in the art and animation departments, and has above average characters thanks to a tendency to subvert tropes rather than just play them straight. Still, plot and characters are nothing special, and the comedy is hit-or-miss.
As usual, I do recommend checking a couple episodes out if you're unsure, but it's a solid deal if the tone matches your tastes.
