A welcoming fresh take on the old epic shojo Saint Seiya
by Lucas -
I'm a huge Saint Seiya fan from the early 90s. I collected pretty much every thing Saint Seiya I could get my hands on whenever I could. And it has been a while that nothing Saint Seiya that come out was really exciting, with many of the anime being cancelled, or not being all that good.
Now, I decided to give a shot to Saintia Sho and to my surprise, this was extremely decent. I'm not bothered in the slightest on the changes for them being women only. I understand how women Saints had to be in the original Saint Seiya, and that was a design of its time, I don't see a problem with them being a group of women that can also use the Cosmos the way the old Bronze Saint could.
More importantly, this IS Saint Seiya: Cosmos, cloths, constellations, big fights, surpassing great enemies and surpassing the boundary of an expected reality.
