Sailor Moon Crystal Set 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD

I really enjoyed watching the english language premiere of sailor moon crystal at anime-expo 2015. I am looking forward to enjoying this very much.

There are two Sides to every review when it comes to TV sets: 1. The product itself 2. The show.

As far as the product go it comes in great packaging the picture is crisp and clear and as always Viz delivers in this arena.

This series reminds me a lot of Usagi, it is strong as a whole but when it wakes up and tries to run to school the first thing it does (after oversleeping) is fall flat on its face. I mean this series isn't terrible by any means but I feel that they really didn't hit their stride in this section (it gets much better believe me). The art style works hard to resemble the comics but the animation is a tad choppy. The chief issue in this area is the computer animation that they filled in. It looks terrible! The story feels rushed and the characters are left kind of flat which the original series had managed to do a great job of in comparison. Still I recommend this series as it improves over time.

This is undoubtedly the best Sailor Moon box set Viz has released.

Sailor Moon Crystal was the 2014 animated reboot of Sailor Moon. It was initially released as a web series (ONA), and opinion on the series pretty split. For my part, I think it's just fine. It's not the perfect version of Sailor Moon I've hoped for over the years, but it's an enjoyable series.

Regardless of the content, this is the best physical box set Viz has released for Sailor Moon. The art is gorgeous, and the art cards included feature the art of the Japanese Blu-Ray releases. The discs have very nice labels, and it's easy to distinguish between the BDs and DVDs. And booklet is without a doubt the best designed booklet from Viz. Where the classic animated series' booklets were bland, Crystal's book is stylish.

My only complaint is the lack of Japanese special features. Probably a rights issue.

If you're a collector, this is the set to get.

i watched this on crunchyroll when it aired in japan and loved it then when i seen it was being released on blu-ray i have to buy it and love it even more

A beautiful remake to the original series, more closely resembling the art from the manga. This set is worth every penny, and the art cards are just lovely~ My only complaint is that they're an awkward size instead of a standard frame size, making displaying them a bit difficult.

I don't care what anyone says this first arc is absolutely amazing! I preordered mine from rightstuff and got the sun catcher free and a Viz Media 30 year anniversary coin! Now the only true disappointing part was the title and end credits being in full Japanese writing instead of English but I absolutely love the dub and the show! I have watched it a lot since I got it. The music is amazing! I sing along to Moon Pride the quality is amazing and the story just touches my heart and I just cry every time I watch Sailor Moon Crystal! Thank you so much Viz for this! Booklet and art cards are also available and the box is so pretty! I keep all of them safely in the box I got it in when I'm not watching it because I want to preserve this! Can't wait for my copy of the Dark Moon arc!

I really love this show it goes by the manga theirs a few things that kinda got me depressed some scenes from the manga were changed or just not pert in that really sucked but their was one change that I really liked . I also love love LOVE the way it was animated so so so beautiful <3 expecially the transformation scenes and the fight scenes it was so epic I loved it :D I loved the transformation theme songs to every character got their own and I thought they all fit very well with their characters . I also love the box it came in so beautiful . but I wish that we could have gotten that pretty charm bracelet that the Japanese included with there Sailor Moon Crystal boxsets. But other than that I really do like this boxset a lot . :D

Heartbubbles for the manga finally being honored and animated. Many sailor moon fans were introduced to the anime with it's fillers and youma/monster of the day. SM Crystal takes you back to where it all began, the manga. It follows each chapter/act closely and brings the comic to life.

Many don't like the fast pace of this version of the anime because it's not like the original. This is just like with Full Metal Alchemist and FMA Brotherhood. This is a great revisit and should be watched. The story is well written and pulls you in quickly. These limited editions look great on the shelf as well. The combo sets give you the best of both worlds.

I watched the original series and read the manga. I love this! It cuts out a lot of the unnecessary story and has great color and animation. While the additional stuff that came with it is an added bonus, the artwork is amazing and I am glad I paid extra for all of the stuff.
